This is ONE BEAST of however many I'll end up thinking of for *pseudolonewolf's DESIGN A BEAST contest! It's a lightningy mechanical bird thing, apparently...! o_O
The design sort of came to me without really having types or elements in mind and I also probably think it's not ORIGINAL enough...! And might be confusing to look at there because of the high contrast that has relatively little to do with BIRDTHING's body...! SO HERE, HAVE A SKETCH THING! IT'S A MECHANICAL BIRD BEAST! (That sketch's neck seems too long... SOMETHING about it seems wrong anyway. Too UPRIGHT instead of leaning forward maybe?) o_O It totally has a lightning rod thing on its head and... y'know... gets struck by lightning to power its mechanical self...! Which is also very, very darkly coloured! Except that Y-shaped thing at the base of its neck which may or may not be a more... silvery colour. And apparently certain edges of its "wing" blade things and lighting rod thing and lightning-boltish tail thing softly glow blue-ish as is maybe more apparent in that littler sketch thing and... yes...! And it can only fly if it's absorbed enough electricity to form some sort of lightning-based wing membrane thing...! So its wings would look like... dragon wings made of lightning or something?! (Which makes SENSE, of course! But if DODUO can learn FLY...!) ANYWAY, uh... IT SHALL BE AVIAN/MECH and of the AIR/DARK combination of elements! And stage two and power form! I mean, maybe... If that's suitable. Y'know. That's just my *interpretation* and... well, anyway...! And next time, I'll think of something more exciting! I've just been having so much difficulty with IDEAS...! D: (And speaking of ideas, I haven't thought of a name for this yet... so uh... when I think of one that hopefully doesn't sound embarrassingly awful, I'll maybe rename this deviation!) |

And it'd WORK as a beast design, too! Not only does it look distinctly your style, but it also looks simplistic enough for me to make it quite easily in the game... Though I don't know about glowing parts or anything...
Anyway, I like this image! It impresses me, like I said!
I like the BLUENESS of it all... Especially the shades of blue on those bits at the base of the wings. The, uh, lower wing bits!
And it's all so BRIGHT and LIGHTNINGY, yet also sort of... 'scratchy' or 'sketchy' in parts in a very appealing way... Especially the feet. You always do good feet!
(I also find the semi-transparent with dark edges BORDER thing quite appealing! o_O)
Anyway, THIS LOOKS GOOD, and I'm glad you finally designed at least one beast! : D
It'll definitely probably likely end up in the game, but no doubt it'll look far less IMPRESSIVE in the game...

Says I, noticing that link for the first time perhaps...! Or maybe the second. I DON'T KNOW. o_O
But yes! Hurrah! Gladness! After drawing THAT thing, I totally maybe have actual ideas for OTHER beasts that I will draw at a point in time! : D
(And I think the feet of things are my favourite parts to draw...?! So why don't you come over here and get your feet to pose for me while I draw them, if you know what I mean...! : D)
(Agh, it bothers me that that... lightningish semi-ring thing in the background is NOT CENTRED. And yet, it would seem... not properly framing the BIRD THING if I moved it a bit to the right... I should have just made it wiiiiiideeeeerruuuhh! And this needs to be said! I like rambling at you in comments and things!)
