Work in Progress Shots
This was an unexpected piece of artwork! I just opened Photoshop yesterday to scribble random things in it, only really intending to do sketches, but I ended up with this in the end! It is one of the very few times where I'd consider my hair/fur drawing not to be a complete failure. It's a bit of a mess on the tail and legs, but uh... I did better than I was expecting myself to... o_O
Because I put lots of effort into details and things, I found it totally necessary to make this close up shot here: [link]

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI know the "five stars all around" is a bit cheesy, but this truly does deserve it! The whole simplicity of this is wonderful. One main color -- it lets the viewer look at the other details. Wonderful. Her body is very feline, and so is her stance, obviously skilled in agility. I love the ears. Never before have I seen fox-like ears on a gryphon, and I think it's great. The lend to a different kind of look in her face. Instead of the usual harsh glare of a falcon, she seems to be simply watchful -- interested in what the beholder is doing. Don't even get me started on the amazingly-done feathers and fur. Well done.
Five stars all around.
